Finance & Operations Specialist (fixed-term, ~12 months)

About the role: BKT Pay is a licensed electronic money institution. We are looking for a specialist to join our Finance & Operations team, supporting payment operations and taking ownership of financial and safeguarding reconciliations.

Key responsibilities:

• Perform daily and monthly reconciliations: e-money balances vs. safeguarding accounts, bank and settlement accounts, and transaction-level reconciliations between internal systems and external statements
• Investigate and resolve reconciliation breaks together with Operations, Tech, and banks
• Prepare accounting entries and support month-end close
• Coordinate with the external tax and accounting advisors, providing data and supporting their work
• Support payment operations: transaction monitoring, exception handling, customer escalations
• Prepare supporting data for regulatory reporting, audits, and internal audit requests
• Document reconciliation procedures and controls

Requirements:

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
• 1–3 years of experience in a bank, payment institution, EMI, or audit or tax firm, ideally including reconciliation work
• Strong Excel skills
• Understanding of accounting principles (IFRS) and Albanian tax basics
• Detail-oriented, comfortable investigating discrepancies
• Fluent Albanian, good English

Nice to have: experience with safeguarding requirements, card schemes or payment settlement, Bank of Albania reporting.
