Assistant Specialist/ Specialist at Internal Control Department

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform regular monitoring and control activities across lending, operations and treasury processes in line with the Annual Activity Plan.
• Execute control testing based on predefined control points, ensuring accuracy, completeness and proper documentation of each test.
• Identify, record and classify control deficiencies; communicate findings to process owners and follow up until corrective actions are implemented.
• Prepare clear, concise and well-structured monitoring reports summarizing results, root causes, risks and recommendations.
• Maintain and update the monitoring follow-up database ensuring data accuracy and timeliness.
• Ensure all assigned tasks are performed in accordance with ICD policies, CBK regulations and internal procedures.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of controls, monitoring methodologies and reporting quality.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor in line with the function’s objectives.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Management, Finance or related fields.
• For Assistant Specialist position banking experience is an advantage but not mandatory, for Specialist position is required at least two years of experience in bank (credit, operations, treasury or internal control preferred) and Solid understanding of banking processes and risk concepts.
• Strong analytical mindset and willingness to learn internal control methodologies.
• Excellent command of English; Turkish is an asset.
• Strong Excel and data-analysis skills; knowledge of I-flex or similar core banking systems is an advantage.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to prepare clear reports.
• High personal integrity, confidentiality and professional judgment.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong sense of ownership, attention to detail and problem-solving capability.
