Job Description

  • Administer, maintain, and optimize mainly Oracle databases  19c, or later.
  • Implement and manage Oracle RAC, Data Guard, ASM, and RMAN
  • Monitor database performance and conduct tuning to ensure optimal operation.
  • Installation configuration and maintenance of Oracle/MS SQL Database servers on a synchronized data environment.
  • Installation configuration and maintenance of Oracle products .
  • Perform and plan database backup and recovery procedures.
  • Plan and implement redundancy and disaster recovery scenario.
  • Document database architecture, procedures, and best practices
  • Troubleshoot, monitor and implement performance tuning on the Oracle/MS SQL Databases
  • Manage database security, logins, users, roles and object permissions.
  • Plan and execute database upgrades or modifications, bug fixes or functionality enhancements.
  • Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to support application needs

 

Skills & Qualifications

·         Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

·         A minimum of 5-year experience as Oracle DBA is required, preferably on financial business.

·         3 years of experience as a SQL Server DBA or similar role.

·         Very good knowledge of Oracle 19c databases.

·         Strong knowledge of Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and RMAN.

·         Experience of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server.

·         Knowledge of Unix/Linux operating system.

·         Working experience with Oracle administration tools, Oracle Enterprise manager, Import/Export, Data dump etc.

·         Working experience with SQL and PL/SQL programming language.

·         Familiarity with Oracle specific tools, utilities and Oracle Support.

·         Ability to adapt to changes in information technology and quickly learn and utilize new database tools and methodologies.

·         Excellent analytical and communication skills.

·         Ability to learn quickly.

·         Ability to work independently with minimum supervision or work in a team-oriented project.

·         Certifications like OCP, OCA, MSCA SQL are an asset.
